

Sometimes you need more than a training course or generic advice. Sometimes you need someone to come to you and address the individual issues of your organisation.
"Organisation development" is a term that can mean a variety of things and cover a multitude of activities. To my mind it means helping groups of people identify their goals and develop the tools and techniques that are going to get them there.
It may involve improving the foundations of your organisation through good governance. Having a regular independent review or 'health check' of your organisation's governance practices is recommended and can be beneficial both internally and in presenting yourself as a robust organisation to funders, sponsors or other stakeholders. 
It may take the form of a 'review and renewal' activity for policy, reporting, structure and other aspects of your organisation so that your Boards, committees, staff and volunteers can work smarter, not harder, with better and more satisfying results.
It may be that you need to develop new programs or activities to achieve your goals. Nothing lasts forever and in an increasingly competitive marketplace it may be that tried and established programs are no longer yeilding the results you want.
Perhaps you need better or different communication or marketing strategies ... or perhaps you don't quite know what you need but do know that you need something to give your organisation an edge
