Healthy Boards Suite:

Recruitment and Succession Planning

Do you have the right people on your Board?  If you don’t, how do you get them?

There is increasing pressure on Boards to perform and the old ‘representative’ style Board model may not suit your current needs.  In this half day program we’ll look at how to define the skills and abilities you need on your Board; how you might up-skill your Board without changing your Constitution; options for recruiting suitable Board members; and how to plan for a robust Board into the future.

Board Assessment

You can’t manage what you can’t measure, and measuring your Board’s performance can be a very difficult task!

In this half day program we’ll look at some of the strategies you might use to assess your Board’s performance, with or without external assistance; many of the pitfalls to avoid; and what you might constructively do with the assessment results without offending the most important people in your organisation!

Board Inductions

Boards are under increasing pressure to perform and new Board members no longer have the luxury of three or four meetings to ‘find their feet’.  Effective Board member induction means a lot more than handing over an information folder and hoping for the best. In this half day program you will learn how to prepare for new Board members, including the development of role descriptions, skills assessment and recruitment strategies; the induction process and what you need to do to ensure that new Board members are contributing quickly and effectively.
