Kate Hartwig

ll.b, MBA, fsae (life member), cert 1v TAE

A career spent making mistakes and learning from them so you don’t have to.

⟶ who i am

Forty years.

Still counting.

I’ve spent my career working in and around not-for-profit and membership organisations — as a CEO, executive director, and for the past decade as an independent consultant. I’ve seen governance done brilliantly and I’ve seen it done badly, and I know the difference it makes.

My approach is practical, no-nonsense, and built on real experience across a broad range of sectors. I don’t come with a one-size-fits-all solution — I come with questions, a fresh set of eyes, and a genuine interest in helping your organisation find its way to good governance.

I’m based in South Australia and work with organisations across the country. If you’d like to know more, have a look at my career summary below — or just get in touch for an obligation-free chat.

stuff.

Zoos SA Volunteer

🐘

I am also a touring and rover guide at Monarto Safari Park and an active member of the Wild Africa Action team. Because governance is more fun when there are elephants.

I am also an artist.  You can see – and buy – my work at art.katehartwig.com.au

Household management

🐾

The household is run — with considerable authority — by three dogs named Daisy, Rosie and Poppy, and an anti-social (and possibly psychotic) cat named Lola.  I have no say in any of it…
